STAFF MUST LIVE WITHIN A 90 MINUTE RADIUS OF LEMOYNE, PAUPMCs Nurse Triage/Corporate Call Center is looking to add a Professional Staff Nurse (RN) to their team.
The RN, Nurse Triage is an important member of the care team who functions primarily within a centralized call center.
The RN provides nurse advice, nursing assessment, care follow up and care coordination to UPMC customers via telephone interaction.
Utilizing computer-based algorithms, protocols or guidelines, the RN, Nurse Triage will assess and plan patient care, implement interventions and evaluate outcomes.
The Call Center RN provides an integral level of customer service to the patient, connecting the patient and the provider during office hours.
Serving as a trusted resource for each patient, the RN can interpret provider instruction and provide patient education in the Centralized Call Center.
The most successful nurses in this role have had a minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience.
Hours:
Primarily evenings between 1100-2330.
8, 10, or 12 hours shifts.
Every 3rd weekend rotation.
Holiday rotation- 1 major holiday, 2 minor holidays.
Option for remote work schedule AFTER 6 months of on-site work has been completed.
Staff MUST be able to report to the Lemoyne office within 90 minutes in the event of power/internet outage or equipment failure.

Staff must live in the Central PA area, within a 90-minute radius of Lemoyne, PA Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.

p They must also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.

p Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
/o:
p Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
/o:
p CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
/o:
p Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/o:
p Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)/o:
p Act 33 with renewal/o:
p Act 34 with renewal/o:
